DHL
Founded in 1969 in San Francisco by Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn, and delivered documents door-to-door between San Francisco and Honolulu. Acquired by Germany’s Deutsche Post World Net in 2002 and integrated with France’s Danzas and Germany’s Euro Express under the DHL brand. In 2003 DHL acquired Airborne Express for $1.05 billion and integrated its North America operation into DHL
